Link Leaders your monthly meeting scheduled for Thursday the 4th has been rescheduled until the 11th!

Don’t forget that Tuesday and Wednesday are Late Start Days. Zero period begins at 8:34 and 1st and 2nd period will start at 9:21.

YES, you missed RETRO-FEST 72 in our own auditorium this past weekend, but you can join us for an encore performance.... it's the understudy show....and you are invited. Come to OLD WORLD this Wednesday, March 3rd, the show starts at 7pm. Students get in for $5 and the money goes for more cool stuff for the CRAD/MMET TV studio. (End 3/4)

Bridges members remember we have a meeting this Tuesday, March 2nd during lunch. We need more girls to sign up for the Bear Paw Retreat and we will also be updating on our big Campus Pride Day event. Anyone is invited to attend. The meeting will be held in Ms. McGlaughlin’s room as usual.

Mr. Goran is asking everyone to help out our recycling efforts on campus by putting all bottles and cans into the proper bins around campus, as well as putting all paper into the boxes in your classrooms. Remember…please don’t throw food or trash into the boxes and bins. If you want more information about recycling and other environmental issues, stop by room A42 this Tuesday at lunch for the Sustainable Living Club meeting featuring speakers from Beachside Recycling Center who are coming to teach us the Do’s and Don’ts about recycling.

For all those interested in joining the HBHS Cheer Squad for the 2010-2011 school year, please pick up an application in Ms. Dunn’s room, J11 or find it on line at www.hbhspepsters.com Try outs will be held the week of March 24-27. We look forward to your interest. (End 3/31)

Seniors and Senior Parents…A list of senior names will be posted in all senior English classrooms and outside the Registrar’s office through Friday, March 12th. Please take a minute to check your name. This will be your only opportunity to make spelling corrections, additions or changes to your name for the graduation program and your diploma. In order for changes to be made a form must filled out and signed by the student or parent. These forms are available at the Registrar’s office. Remember – the deadline to make changes is Friday, March 12th. (End 3/12)

All seniors…please make sure you have applied for the Cal Grant. Come see Mrs. Wakeman in the Career Center. The last day to apply is Tuesday, March 2nd. All seniors should keep checking our scholarship site for the most updated scholarships available.

AP exams are on sale from February 22nd through March 5th. The price is $86 per exam. You may purchase AP exams in the Finance Office. (End 3/5)

Do you want to improve your fitness, ride to find a cure for diabetes and have fun at the same time? In the HBHS Pegasus Road Cycling Club, you can accomplish all of this! Over the first two weeks of March, Operation Save Darfur Club on campus will be holding a “Soles for Souls” drive for the refugees in Darfur, Sudan. We ask that you donate either new or slightly used shoes or sandals for the refugees. Look for a donation box in your English or History class or come find our booth at lunch the 2nd week of March when HB Reads comes to our campus and donate! (End 3/5)

Gay Straight Alliance meeting will be held Thursday at lunch in room A22.

You must check the parent portal weekly and get your absences cleared before they turn into a truant and you are assigned Saturday school. If you were in class print it out at home and take it to your teacher to have them clear it. You have 5 days from the absence to get this done. Attendance will no longer be giving printouts once Saturday school has been assigned. It is your responsibility to get this done in a timely manner. All students must checkout with attendance or health office before leaving campus. Not following this rule will result in a truancy and Saturday school will be assigned. ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS…Students cannot park in the Staff Lot / Visitors parking between the hours of 6:45 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for any reason! Vehicles parked in the Staff Lot without a Staff Parking Permit displayed, will be cited. Students parking in Staff or Visitors will be cited and have their parking privileges suspended and or revoked. Students may only park in Student designated parking stalls. There is NO PARKING anywhere along the access road behind the stadium, auditorium, maintenance building, tennis courts, auto shop or by the weight room. Students are reminded they should not drive on the service road at anytime. The service road is ONLY for Staff. Students who drive and leave at lunch, who have a 5th or 6th period will have their parking privileges suspended and or revoked. Students walking off campus who have a 5th or 6th period will be issued detention. ALL STUDENTS MUST CARRY THEIR HBHS STUDENT ID WITH THEM AT ALL TIMES DURING SCHOOL HOURS. (End 6/10/10)
